BYCS is looking for an enthusiastic Bicycle Mayor Network Intern to join our Amsterdam team for a full-time / part-time position over 6-12 months. Within this role you will support BYCS in managing our Bicycle Mayor Network. This means handling relationships with cycling advocates in 140+ cities, facilitating collaboration sessions, managing onboarding processes, developing digital communication campaigns, and assisting in global projects within the Bicycle Mayor Network. You will gain a holistic understanding of the importance of grassroots activism in order to achieve cycling-centric cities worldwide.

Functie-eisen stagiair (kennis, vaardigheden, houding, ervaring, competenties): Responsibilities:
● Relationship building and management with network members
● Fostering engagement and collaboration within the grassroots network
● Interfacing with Bicycle Mayors on social media
● Running support on integral processes to the Bicycle Mayor Network including onboarding, offboarding, assisting in producing monthly newsletter creation, and
more.
● Assisting in running local campaigns to grow the network.
● Tracking metrics and KPIs related to network quarterly goals

Qualities We Seek:
● Educational background in Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Geography, Anthropology, Administration, Communication Studies, or Business
● Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
● Entrepreneurial spirit - always looking for new connections between people and opportunities
● Able to establish and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
● Comfort in a dynamic working environment
● Ability to work independently with limited oversight
● Interest in urban cycling and sustainable development
● Experience (or ability to learn quickly) with digital tools including the Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Airtable, Asana, Wordpress and Google Drive.
● Languages: Fluent English, Spanish is a plus

Hoe is de HBO-begeleiding georganiseerd?: We hebben in het verleden HBO-stages georganiseerd en we werken nauw samen met de CMD-begeleider om ervoor te zorgen dat aan alle eisen wordt voldaan.

Overleg vantevoren met BYCS en de CMD begeleider of stagebureau hoe je deze stage kunt laten samenvallen met de CMD competenties.

Ervaring met eerder begeleide stages : BYCS heeft veel ervaring met het managen van begeleide stages. De afgelopen 3,5 jaar hebben we elke 5 maanden stagiaires laten rouleren binnen de organisatie en we hebben sterke structuren en processen ontwikkeld om ervoor te zorgen dat dit een efficiënt en bevredigend proces is voor alle partijen. Onze ervaringen met de deelnemende stagiaires zijn zeer positief en hebben in verschillende gevallen geleid tot fulltime functies.

Tijdsbestek stage: Van 02-09-2024 tot 31-01-2025

Aantal dagen per week: 4

Stagevergoeding: De stagevergoeding bedraagt 240 euro per maand voor werkweken van 24 tot 32 uur.
